On Sunday, October 22, 2023, a Nigerian student named Ikem was reported to have been assassinated in the Philippines by individuals who were purportedly Chinese nationals.
This was made public on Sunday on Michael Ojuola, the buddy of the departed.
Michael said on Twitter: “A bunch of Chinese ruthlessly killed a buddy of mine, Ikem, a Nigerian medical student studying in the Philippines 🌵🌭.

They beat him blue-black, bound his lips, tied his hands together, and made him give over the gh*st.
Regardless of the Philippines’ and China’s relationship, this should never be allowed to be ignored.
“This is really savage and inhumane! I’m currently receiving so many horrifying films from the hospital that I’m finding it impossible to even think clearly.
Ojutola pleaded with Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission chairperson, and other pertinent parties to take up the issue.
In response to Michael’s post, NiDCOM inquired as to whether he had contacted the Nigerian embassy about the issue.
I appreciate you making the public aware of this.
Was the Nigerian Embassy there in the Philippines formally informed of this?
Could you please DM us with further information?
